We’re very excited to share our new package design with you. In true VELO fashion, the new white cans are just as small and compact as ever, but now made from a single polymer plastic, that is 100% recyclable*. So recycling VELO responsibly is now easier than ever before. Just deposit it at curbside recycling facilities or recycling bins in supermarkets and retailers. Yup, that easy! This milestone is just the beginning to reduce our impact on the environment, because VELO as part of the British American Tobacco (BAT) family, has joined the corporate plan to be carbon neutral by 2030.

THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING

Exploring other materials for future iterations of the VELO can is the new challenge. More biodegradable packaging and environment-friendly production practices for our high-quality products are on our agenda. But not only is the can in the spotlight, we are exploring different materials to even make the pouches more sustainable, without compromising on flavors, the variety of nicotine strengths and, of course, ease of use.

So, next time you go for VELO, you’ll find our new and more sustainable packaging. And after enjoying your on-the-go nicotine, don’t forget to recycle the empty cans by kicking them into the right bin. *This packaging is claimed to comply with the requirements of the Packaging and Packaging Waste Directive and EN 13427 to EN13432. The packaging is considered to be RECYCLABLE (including PP labels or paper/polyolefin labels) under the definitions of the requirements. You can find the official certificate here.
